What A Busy Week

I'm surprised at how much I was able to get done this past week and a half. Miss Diva had a slight cold for a few days, so that kind of slowed things down. But I have lots of pictures to share with you, so I'm going to get started.

I have mentioned this quilt a few times before. It's for our friend. It's going to be a giant Chess board.

This was my very first piece. It's paper piecing and some of the parts are so tiny. The finished square is only 5 inches! I think I did alright, but I can't stand that the thread is showing. I already plan on redoing it, in fact, I've already gone to the store and picked up black thread.
The King and Queen turned out much better. They still look a little crooked to me, but I don't think it'll be too bad once I square them up and quilt it.
I also have all the empty squares cut and sewed together. So, once I get the THIRTY more pieces pieced, I'll be ready to sew the board together.

These are three blocks that I've already received from the LAJ Bee. I'm queen bee this month and I picked out this block so that everyone could write a little message in it. I am really loving how they're looking.

The next three blocks are ones that I made to add to my collection of patriotic ones.

I decided that I'm going to use the Quilt-As-You-Go method to make this set of quilts, excluding the signed ones. I've already gotten three blocks quilted, including the last one pictured. I'm just doing a vertical line 1/4" apart on all the blocks. Then I think that I'm going to do horizontal on all the connecting pieces.

Below are all the other blocks that I'm going to be working with, with a couple of the signed ones pictured again.

That's all the sewing that I was able to do this week.

The hubs and I are also working on a new changing table/dresser for the baby. Unfortunately  I don't have any photos to share right now. But I will take some as soon as it's finished and be sure to share.

That's it for tonight, mainly because the computer's battery is about to die. But be sure to check in towards the end of the week. I'm thinking there will be some changes coming soon.

Until then, have a great night!
